Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Taster Cycling Event (25 km)

An easy 25 km at a leisurely pace, this event is designed for people who want to give the BVRT a go without committing to one of the big rides. Also suitable for families and newbie cyclsts.

Starting from Fernvale Futures Visitor's Centre, the ride will head south through some pretty countryside for about 7 km on a mixture of smooth track with the occasional easy rough sections to give an idea of what the rest of the track is like, then return to Fernvale and head north to Lowood on a good surface with great views of the Brisbane River as we approach Lowood. Stop for a coffee and then return to Fernvale.

The ride will be led by local cyclists, Paul Heymans and Lynn Shorter.

When: Saturday 22 July, departing at 8.00 am
Where: Fernvale Future's Visitors Centre, Fernvale 4306
Cost: FREE, but booking essential.
