A truly beautiful bike ride by the light of a full moon in great Queensland country from Yarraman to Moore (49 km) late afternoon and evening.
Arrive at the Old Church Gallery in Moore by 3.30 pm for 4.00 pm departure (tea, coffee etc. available at Old Church Gallery). Transport to Yarraman for cyclists and bikes will be provided by the Out There Cycling shuttle service. Depart Yarraman at 5.00 pm and ride to Blackbutt with the sun setting behind us.
Then cruise down the range though the Benarkin forest and Blackbutt Creek valley from Blackbutt to Linville after dark by the light of the full moon. It will be a special experience.
Complete a great evening of off-road night cycling with a delicious dinner at the Old Church Gallery in Moore. Choice of meat or vegetarian curry. Includes dessert, coffee and glass of wine or soft drink.
Due to space limitations, this event will be restricted to 30 guests, so it will be a very social ride and dinner.
Why not make a week-end of it? Check out the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail website for accommodation options. You can also participate in the non-denominational 'Blessing of the Bicycles' at the beautiful heritage listed St Andrew's Anglican Church at Toogoolawah in the morning on the same day.
The clay surface on the BVRT between Yarraman and Blackbutt is slippery when wet, so the event will be cancelled, and a full refund provided if there is slightest hint of rain forecast for the Easter week-end.
Bicycle suitable for off-road cycling, good off-road lights, a spare tube and basic tool kit are mandatory.
You participate in this event entirely at your own risk.
