$65 to $75 (Earlybird)

It's Spring. It's going to be hot soon enough, so let's do something cool.

First up, no early morning start. That’s right, this is a late afternoon and evening ride, with the late afternoon sun behind us illuminating the landscape (weather permitting). It will get dark as we descend the D’Aguilar Range from Benarkin, so we'll finish by the light of a full moon (off-road lights essential).

Finish off with mouthwatering roast pork, lamb, chicken, beef and roast veggie Hāngi at the Linville Pub (vegetarian option available) – a pub specialty.

Don’t want to drive home after so much good food and drink?

Why not make a week-end of it? Camp for the night in the free camping at Linville (showers available for $5 at the pub) or Moore. Or you could book a room at the Linville Pub or the nearby Montrose on Moore B&B. Airbnb accommodation is also available nearby or ample accommodation available in Blackbutt, Toogoolawah or Esk.

Meet at Linville at 3.00 pm for transfer by coach and truck for people and bikes to Yarraman. There's usually a bit of a breeze on the section from Yarraman to Blackbutt so bring a light wind-proof. Then we can make our own wind-song in tune with the bell birds on the downhill section in mostly wooded country from Benarkin to Linville, with our shadows stretching before us.
