A prize of a luxury week-end for two value $600 at the Wiikirri B & B Retreat in Blackbutt with great access to forestry trails suitable for mountain biking will be awarded to the man and woman to complete the course in the fastest time for each gender.

A beautiful certificate of achievement will be awarded to everyone who finishes.

This event is suitable for reasonably fit and experienced cyclists only. You need to be confident you can cycle 100 km off-road in a single day.

Participants are expected to be self-sufficient, but there will a safety team shadowing the event to give assistance if required. Free water will be available at 3 locations and free snacks will be available at 2 locations on the route. There will be mandatory check-points at Moore, and Blackbutt where support crews can offer assistance, but they may not offer assistance between the checkpoints unless you are abandoning.

The event will start at 6.00 a.m. and will finish at 2.00 p.m.

Mobile phone, adequate water, a basic first aid kit including snake bite bandage, spare inner tube, a puncture repair kit and basic tools will be mandatory equipment. Participants can either carry food or obtain food at shops and cafes along the way.

A free mini pie from the famous Blackbutt Bakery will be waiting for you in Blackbutt after the long climb up from Linville.

Bicycles must be suitable for riding off-road – mountain bikes and cyclocross bikes are recommended.

We always like to add a local culinary treat to our events. On arrival in Yarraman, the nearby Royal Hotel pub will be serving a mouth-watering country style pig on a spit @ $27 for all you can eat (standard menu options available for vegetarians) from 11.00 a.m. Please select the option to pre-pay whilst registering for this event - the option to add it is at the bottom of the check-out page.

There will be an optional hourly shuttle bus back to Esk from 11.00 am provided byJosie and David from Out There Cycling @ $25. Depending on numbers, we may also lay on a coach and semi-trailer. Please select the option to pre-pay whilst registering for this event - the option to add it is at the bottom of the check-out page.

If you're not sure if you need the shuttle bus or the 'pig on a spit' at this stage, you can book them separately later. You can also use this option to book 'pig on a spit' for your support crew of family and friends.

For anyone wanting to make a week-end of it, there is excellent accommodation available in Esk and Yarraman.

As usual, you ride with us at your own risk.

Please note, if a severe weather event is predicted for 4 November, the BVRT 100 will be postponed and all participants given a full refund. A bit of rain is all part of the adventure. Thunder and lightning whilst out in the open countryside is just too dangerous.

During registration you will be required to accept our terms and conditions.
