First woman to complete the BVRT double E2E in under 24 hours

Rachel Edwards, the first woman to achieve completing the 167 km Brisbane Valley Rail Trail both ways in under 24-hours (334 km) proudly wearing her ‘BVRT Amazing Achievement’ shirt awarded by the BVRT Users Association. Her time was 22 hours and 16 minutes.
 
On 4 May she will also receive a specially designed ‘BVRT Amazing Achievement’ trophy presented by local State member for Nanango and Leader of the Opposition, Deb Frecklington.
 
Weather conditions permitting, on 20th April there will be an attempt by another woman endurance cyclist to set a record for the fastest time to complete the BVRT in both directions, with safety support from BVRT Users Assoc cyclists.
 
It’s never dull on the BVRT. These women are awesome.
 
BVRT Users Association has offered these coveted awards for the first three women to complete the BVRT from end-to-end and back as part of our program of support for women’s cycling.
