Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Amazing Achievement Award

On 11/02/2018, the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association was very pleased to honour Jonny Ayres, Cameron Wickbold, and Lachlan Murray with a Brisbane Valley Rail Trail ‘Amazing Achievement Award’ © for their very impressive endurance cycling feat of being the first to complete the entire 167 km Brisbane Valley Rail Trail from Wulkuraka Station to Yarraman and back in 24 hours. Total distance of 334 km off-road.

Somerset Mayor Graeme Lehmann presented them with a special Brisbane Valley Rail Trail trophy today in a small informal ceremony at Cormorant Bay Café.

The trophies were hand-made by cycling master craftsman Lyle Paull.

Unfortunately, Lachlan was unable to attend due to family commitments, so the trophy was accepted on his behalf by Jonny Ayres.
