Fully supported and fully catered, 2-day, off-road bike tour on the beautiful Brisbane Valley Rail Trail from Yarraman to Ipswich. Cycle the entire length of the 161 km rail trail, including the new section, with our experienced guides.

Just $495 all inclusive.

Includes accommodation, transport for people and bikes, breakfast. morning tea, lunch and dinner.

Australia's longest rail trail follows the disused Brisbane Valley rail line that commenced construction at Wulkuraka near Ipswich in 1884 and was completed in 1913. The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail winds its way up the Brisbane valley, traversing farmland, forests, picturesque rural settings and country towns. Being on the old railway line, the BVRT provides easy gradients for cyclists.

Programme:

Arrive Friday night ready for early start on Saturday.
Saturday: Yarraman to Esk – approx 45% downhill (94 km)
Sunday: Esk to Wulkuraka Station: (67 km)

Price includes:

  • Two nights accommodation at the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Motel in comfortable, shared rooms.
  • Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning at Nash Café in Esk
  • Private function dinner on Saturday evening at Nash Café
  • Morning tea and lunch.
  • All transport for people and bikes provided by minibus and bike trailer.
  • Very experienced BVRT guides, including a qualified first aider

Bike hire NOT included. MTBs can be hired by arrangement.

Participants must be reasonably fit and capable of cycling up to 95 km off road.

The BVRT is more suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids or cyclocross bikes with off-road tyres. It is unsuitable for most road bikes.

Option to pay $250 now and the balance one week before the event also available for a small surcharge.

Full refund if event is cancelled due to bad weather or any other reason.
