In 2020, the annual 'Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Experience' off-road bike ride revists the very scenic section of the rail trail between Toogoolawah and Fernvale.
Come and explore Queensland's big country, open skies, forests and wide paddocks. Pause for a drink or a bite to eat at one of the pubs, shop or cafes along the way, as you follow the course of the old Brisbane Valley Railway back to your vehicle in Fernvale.
Arrive in Fernvale by 7.00 am. Transport by coach and semi-trailer will be provided for you and your bicycle up to Toogoolawah, then cycle back at your leisure. Total distance about 62 km of undulating rail trail with no steep hills.
This is a fully supported bike ride with first aiders, ride marshals and sag wagons.
The ‘Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Experience’ is a great off-road bike ride, suitable for reasonably fit cyclists of all abilities. There will be several ride marshals riding with you on the track and support vehicles s in case you run into any problems.
The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail can be a bit rough in places, so this ride is more suitable for hybrids, mountain bikes and cyclocross bikes.
BVRT Users Association reserves the right to reschedule this event if adverse weather conditions, bushfires or any other factor might compromise the safety of participants. A full refund will be offered.

Where: Toogoolawah to Fernvale
When: Arrive in Fernvale by 7.00 am for loading. Depart from Fernvale by 7.30 am Saturday 18 April
How: Leave you car in Fernvale, transport for you and your bicycle provided up to Toogoolawah. Ride back to your vehicle at your leisure.
