This year, the 'Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Experience' off-road bike ride explores the very scenic section of the rail trail between Benarkin and Toogoolawah, combining the 20 km downhill to Linville with the new all-weather section between Moore and Toogoolawah.

Come and explore Queensland's big country, open skies, forests and wide paddocks. Enjoy the sound of the bell birds in the Benarkin forest. Pause for a drink or a bite to eat at one of the pubs, shop or cafes along the way, as you follow the course of the Brisbane Valley back to your vehicle in Togoolawah.

Arrive in Toogoolawah by 7.00 am. Transport by coach and semi-trailer will be provided for you and your bicycle up to Benarkin, then cycle back at your leisure. Total distance about 52 km, of which around 30% is downhill.

This is a fully supported bike ride with first aiders, ride marshals and sag wagons.

The ‘Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Experience’ is a great off-road bike ride, suitable for reasonably fit cyclists of all abilities. There will be several ride marshals riding with you on the track and sag wagons in case you run into anyproblems.

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail can be a bit rough in places, so this ride is more suitable for hybrids, mountain bikes and cyclocross bikes.

BVRT Users Association reserves the right to reschedule this event if adverse weather conditions, bushfires or any other factor might compromise the safety of participants. A full refund will be offered.
