Bicycle Queensland BVRT MTB Experience - Toogoolawah to Fernvale (65 km)

At Fernvale Future's Visitors Centre

1483 Brisbane Valley Highway, Fernvale, 4306

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is a largely undiscovered gem, right on our doorstep. This ride will explore the trail from Toogoolawah to Fernvale, rolling past historic sites, through fertile farming lands and crossing the mighty Lockyer Creek and Black Snake Gully.

The 64 km ride will take most cyclists the best part of the day. It will start at 9 am at Toogoolawah, after bus transfer from Fernvale. There’ll be rest stops at Esk (after 20km), and Coominya (43 km).

The surface of the trail is rough in parts, and this ride is best suited to mountain bikes with tyres wider than 2 inches (50mm).

But the rewards? Great views, beautiful countryside, and virtually no traffic (the route crosses some roads). Serenity factor is off the charts!

The price of $35 includes transfer for you and your bike, from Fernvale to Toogoolawah. Check-in at Fernvale Visitors Centre from 7 am.

This event is supported by Somerset Regional Council and the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail Users Association.
