Brisbane Chicks Who Ride Bikes BVRT Social Ride

From 8.00 am until 2.00 pm

At Toogoolawah Station/Museum

Toogoolawah, Queensland 4313

$0

The final section of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail between Toogoolawah and Moore has been completed and is now open for public use.

The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is now the longest rail trail in Australia at 161 km.

BCWRB has been very supportive of the campaign to get the rail trail finished. As a big thank you for your support, we're organsing a free social ride for Brisbane Chicks Who Ride Bikes and their friends and partners on the new section.

Following consultation with BCWRB, no unaccompanied men may join the ride - all men must be accompanied by their woman friend or partner.

I've been in touch with Chief Chick, Jordana Mullan. She will be in Brisbane on 15th September and is planning to join the ride.

There will be choice of doing the new section one way (29.2 km) with free transport back with Out There Cycling (at our expense) or doing it both ways, out and back (58.4 km). For anyone who is interested, we've organised a Percheron/Clydesdale draft horse encounter for you just north of Harlin.

Return shuttle will be available from 11.00 am.

The new section has a very good suface and is suitable for all kinds of bikes except perhaps road racing bikes. It's also suitable for cyclists of all abilities provided you can ride at least 30 km.

Pre-booking (free) is essential so we can ensure there is sufficient transport capacity.

If the weather is kind to us it will be a great day out.

There are 200 places available.
