A non-denominational ceremony to Bless the Bicycles for the commencement of the Queensland 2018 cycling season will be performed by Brisbane Valley Rail Trail chaplain, Fr Ian Bailey(the cycling vicar), locum priest at the heritage listed St Andrews Church in Toogoolawah.
All welcome regardless of religious beliefs or no religious beliefs - as Fr Ian is fond of saying, he's the chaplain for everyone.
If it's open by then, the ceremony will be followed by a family friendly bike ride on a new section of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail to the heritage listed Yimbun Tunnel where there will be a fun Easter Event. If not, plan B will be to cycle south to the beautiful Coal Creek for the Easter Event.
Then return to St Andrew's Church for a great bush breakfast catered by members of the congregation.
Profits will go to support the work of the St Andrews Church.
There are 100 places available.
